ZDS, the man behind hits like Bang Ze Box, Righteous Sound, and Drink, is back with a new release titled ‘Phase 1’ which marks his first return to Dirtybird since his Hands EP in 2013.

The lead track 'Sweat' features hip-hop styled vocals from Kid Enigma on top of an infectious groove, packed to the brim with driving 808 percs and those breathing vocal chops reminiscent of a sweaty club from the early 2000s.

ZDS supplements with 'The Beat', a collaborative track with Will Clarke that allow both to show a bit of their darker side. Relentless percussive synths and jackin' rhythms make this what Dirtybird perfectly describes as “banging”.

Dirtybird today has also dropped a recap video from Dirtybird Campout East featuring ZDS’s ‘Sweat’ - giving Campers who made it to the inaugural year a taste of nostalgia and those who didn’t make the trek a healthy dose of FOMO.

About Dirtybird

DIRTYBIRD has been dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance-floor since January 2005. The iconic bird logo was derived from a drawing Barclay Crenshaw (aka Claude VonStroke) used to draw when he was a kid to make his little brother laugh. Since creating it, VonStroke has A&R-ed some of the most influential house music producers in the world. A short list includes Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz, Julio Bashmore, Riva Starr, Breach, Shiba San, Eats Everything, J Phlip, Style of Eye, Kill Frenzy, and many many more... most of whom had their very first records and even created their artist names for the label.
