It was with merit patches ironed on tight and a diverse record box in tow that Mija and Ryan Forever took the stage for their iconic Fk a Genre Takeover at Dirtybird Campout West this Fall. In line with the Fk a Genre party that has taken over premiere venues across the nation with no regard for musical divisions, Mija brought along some genre hopping homies to bang out what went down as one of the most talked about sets of the weekend.

From Ardalan’s signature gritty house sound, to Mark Starr’s future Bay Area heat, to Deux Yeux’s futuristic bass tones, this set rocked all over the place and back again.

Now fans can relive the takeover via a two hour trip into the friend-driven, artistic curation that Mija brought to the Campout in her own signature off-kilter fashion. Listen here: http://bit.ly/2ATWfUi

Mija will be back to lead outrageous Campers of every feather to greatness at East Coast Campout February 2-4 in St. Cloud Florida.

About Dirtybird

DIRTYBIRD has been dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance-floor since January 2005. The iconic bird logo was derived from a drawing Barclay Crenshaw (aka Claude VonStroke) used to draw when he was a kid to make his little brother laugh. Since creating it, VonStroke has A&R-ed some of the most influential house music producers in the world. A short list includes Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz, Julio Bashmore, Riva Starr, Breach, Shiba San, Eats Everything, J Phlip, Style of Eye, Kill Frenzy, and many many more... most of whom had their very first records and even created their artist names for the label.
